BRIEF:

Relaunch the London edition of global initiative panel discussion series What She Said. 

​

NARRATIVE: 

Female Narratives took on the challenge of hosting and producing the What She Said series. Between 2018-19 we hosted panel discussions centred around fashion, design, tech, media, film and philanthropy.

​

MARCH: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2018

 

Our first event was a very special collaboration in support of the charity mothers2mothers and included: 

- Emma France, Global Development & Strategic Engagement Director, mothers2mothers

- Michelle Kennedy, CEO and co-founder, Peanut

- Stephanie Phair, Chief Strategy Officer, Farfetch

- Sarah Tomczak, Executive Editor, Red magazine

And was chaired by blogger and serial entrepreneur Freddie Harrel.

We explored motherhood and the importance and future of female connectivity across fashion, technology, media and philanthropy and how, united, we will #PressForProgress.

BEYOND BEAUTY: Meet the models setting the New Agenda 

 

JADA SEZER 

Model and mental health campaigner, Jada has a Masters in Child Psychotherapy. She has modelled in campaigns for the likes of L'Oreal Paris and Women's Health to encourage women to turn self-doubt into self worth and to show diversity in the industry.

 

MAXIM MAGNUS 

Maxim is a 19-year-old transgender model and LGBTQ+ activist and advocate who ignited the hashtag #transisnotatrend after a Youtube video she published sharing her story. 

 

FOLA EVANS-AKINGBOLA 

Fola is a model and an actress with a passion for activism. Her work includes the new US TV show Siren (Freeform/Disney), Game of Thrones (HBO) and the new BBC film VS. being released this summer. 

 

JENNIFER KOCH 

With an MA in Mens Knitwear from The Royal College of Art and a highly praised final collection, Jennifer is re-spinning the 'granny' and 'housewife' stereotypes associated with knitwear.

Having modelled for over a decade, Tijana co-founded the all-female creative agency Female Narratives as a way to tell more authentic stories for brands.
