Leanne Maskell

Leanne is an author, activist and legal policy adviser. She started modelling at the age of 13 whilst living in Cyprus, working for clients such as i-D magazine, Vogue and ASOS.

Whilst studying law at university, she became aware of how exploitative the modelling industry was and decided to empower others by writing an anti-exploitation guide for models. Amazon best seller, 'The Model Manifesto' was published in February 2019 and was featured on the cover of The Times and by ITV, BBC News and Grazia amongst others. Leanne continue to host regular events to discuss the industry, such as panels at Soho House and Mortimer House, and records a weekly podcast series, 'The Model Manifesto'.

Now working in law, Leanne is passionate about mental health, feminism and happiness. She is part of a cheerleading team and is a trained Secret Sunrise instructor, and continues to write on her own personal blog.
