DOHA DIARIES

BBC Studios were working on a commercial project for Visit Qatar called Doha Diaries, where they wanted to capture 3 friends, with varied interests, experiencing what Qatar has to offer for a long weekend break.

FN was the perfect casting partner for such a brief. Our collective is bursting with real friendships between unique and creative women. We put forward dozens of options and eventually landed on the combination of artist Karimah (to focus on Doha culture), adventure sports lover Jess (to focus on desert adventure) and wellness enthusiast and entrepreneur Tijana (to focus on island relaxation).

What started as a casting brief, developed into a deeply complimentary production partnership as the storylines were built around the women’s real interests, own wardrobes and - most importantly - own words. From activity planning, to styling to script - it was a collaborative process.

The result is 3 episodic films, along side editorial website pages with interviews and travel itineraries, that authentically capture the experiences of 3 real friends enjoying their dream trip to Qatar.
